Chronic kidney disease, Hemodialysis, Physical exercise, Anthropometric markers, Muscle strength, Blood pressureAbstract
The implementation of exercise programs can improve quality of life in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Several studies discuss the benefits of physical exercise in these patients; however, the effects on anthropometric markers, muscle strength and blood pressure (BP), based on the type of exercise, have not been fully evaluated. The aim of the study is to analyze studies where the intervention consisted of the implementation of exercise programs in HD patients, and to provide evidence of their effects on anthropometric markers, muscle strength and BP.
