Abstract

Sarcopenia is a condition generally associated with age characterized by functional and structural decline
of striated skeletal muscle. Protein supplementation (PS) in combination with resistance exercise (RE) is the main treatment to counteract sarcopenia and/or dynapenia in older adults (OA). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of isolated soybean PS and RE on muscle strength and body composition in elderly subjects living in a marginal urban community in Ecuador.
