A sarcopenia é uma condição que pode estar associada à idade, caracterizada pelo declínio funcional e estrutural do músculo estriado esquelético. A suplementação proteica em combinação com o exercício de resistência é o principal tratamento para combater a sarcopenia e/ou dinapenia em idosos. O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar o efeito da suplementação proteica isolada de soja e o exercício de resistência na força muscular e composição corporal em idosos residentes em uma comunidade urbana marginal do Equador.
