About the Journal

AIM AND SCOPE

The Journal Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (RNCM) is the official publication of the Colombian Association of Clinical Nutrition, whose first number was published in May 2018. It is an open access and peer-reviewed journal; it is published quarterly in electronic version. The Journal accepts articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Its goal is to publish scientific articles in the field of clinical nutrition and metabolism. Therefore, the Journal published articles about different biochemical processes, specifically on energy metabolism and nutritional regulations, nutritional therapy (enteral and parenteral nutrition, oral supplements, vitamin supplements), and the relationship between nutrition and disease.

The Journal is aimed at professionals and students of careers related to health issues.

For publication will be considered articles presenting results of clinical studies that show the mechanisms, efficacy and progress of the different stages of nutritional care: screening and evaluation of the nutritional state, diagnosis and nutritional plan, nutritional therapy (oral, enteral and parental), monitoring and evaluation, documentation.

Studies about dietary intervention in the context of prevention or treatment of chronic or acute diseases will also be considered for publication. It is sought to promote epidemiological and public health studies related with clinical nutrition, as well as experimental or basic science research using “Omic” sciences (epigenetic, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics) as an approach. The publication of opinion and research articles addressing epistemological, historical, ethical and sociological topics in relation with clinical nutrition and metabolism.

The publication of the numbers of the Journal are in the following periods: January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December.
