Factores de riesgo nutricional y recomendaciones para el cuidado nutricional del paciente con ileostomía: una revisión narrativa

Resumen

Actualmente hay poca evidencia para el manejo del paciente con ileostomía y su cuidado nutricional. Se sabe que es una población que se encuentra en riesgo nutricional por la alteración de absorción de nutrientes, el desarrollo de estomas de alto gasto, la percepción del paciente de los efectos de ciertos alimentos, las restricciones recomendadas y la funcionalidad; esto repercute de forma importante en el estado nutricional. Las recomendaciones actuales se enfocan en desde el diseño de la terapia nutricional, el manejo y monitorización de su implementación. Por tanto, el objetivo de esta revisión es identificar los factores de riesgo nutricional, así como las recomendaciones actuales para el manejo nutricional de pacientes con ileostomía.
