The pandemic brought about by the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) put a stop on all daily activities as a direct measure for slowing down infection rates. Like the rest of the world population, athletes were affected by the social isolation measures, the impact being particularly great on high-performance elite athletes. Anthropometry is a widely used resource in sports for assessing individual body composition and athletic potential in order to determine what medical and technical interventions are needed to optimize sports performance.
